- Tele - marketers, Sales personnel, IT Consultants, Web Designers to name a few are some of the jobs that are typically outsourced from my experience. Now I see that even the Hotel Industry is looking at contract staffing. IT Giants are already on the move for contract staffing. Administration and support staff are also on contract staffing to vendors like JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) Even HR is contracted at companies like GE, Wipro etc..
Major Players in the Indian Market in the contract staffing business are mainly in the Banking, IT and Insurance sector.
Mark ups that companies look for? - need to understand the context of this question to relate.
Key ingredients in the agreement between the Organization and the Staffing Company - need to get back to you on this but as an immediate observation - be able to resource, take care of all statutory/ legal compliance and last but not least the staffing companies creditability.
2 - The jobs of a non critical nature to the business are outsourced.
Eg
In Facilities Management - The Housekeeping resources, Technicians, Janitors etc are outsourced
In certain cases outsourcing is carried out to transfer Risks and Increase company focus
Eg
IT solutions is outsourced to IBM
The main players in the contract staffing business are Team 4 U a Randstad Company, Team Lease and Adecco
The Mark Ups would depend on the amount of business (in terms of revenue) that you are going to provide to them. This would also depend on the amount of risk that we would transfer across.
The markups would increase if there is a requirement of:
1. A HRMS system
2. One point contact (Account Manager)
3. Back Ground Check to be done
4. Bench Resources
5. Help-desk/24 x 7 call center support for employees outsourced
Some of the key points of the agreement would be:
1. Indemnity
2. Service Level Agreements
3. Scope of Service
4. Termination
